Located on the old Roman road linking Sens to Autun (remains to visit), the village boasts a notable heritage (numerous castles, manor houses, fortified houses, and mills) as well as superb landscapes. The village is also committed to the pioneering "Dark Sky" project led by the Morvan Regional Natural Park (with the prestigious "International Dark Sky Reserve" designation as its ultimate goal).
