The house is situated in a traditional French village, in the heart of the picturesque Vallee de l'Ouche, this tastefully restored 125 m2 stone house offers comfortable accommodation with charming French style.
The accommodation is on three levels. On the ground floor a living/dining area with adjoining kitchen, shower room and toilet. On the first floor there is a comfortable living room, with access to a covered terrace, a double bedroom and bathroom. Stairs from the living room lead to the second bedroom with a double bed.
Outside you’ll find a delightful enclosed courtyard garden, the perfect place for al fresco eating, barbecuing, or to sit and watch the world go by.
The house is just a few minutes’ walk from the banks of the river Ouche and the Burgundy Canal, where the towpath meanders through the countryside. Perfect for a gentle stroll or cycle to the local bar and bistro 3 kms away in the port at Pont d'Ouche. 3 kms the opposite direction, is the Abbaye de la Bussiere, a beautiful restaurant and hotel situated its own parkland.
In the village is a café/general shop. There is an artisan bakery in the next village, a short drive or cycle away, for morning baguettes and croissants, they also deliver every morning. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away in the market town of Bligny-sur-Ouche.
Veuvey-sur-Ouche is in a great location for exploring the Cote d’Or. Châteauneuf en Auxois is 12 Kms away, where you can visit the famous Chateau de Châteauneuf, a 15th-century hill fortress situated in a charming village with a good selection of restaurants.
