Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful, quiet and serene location in Sila national park, the drive through the woods to Lorica is a highlight in itself (stop at la locomotiva for a great panino). Exceptionally clean and spacious room with a beautiful view of the lake. Very friendly staff, well equipped coffee and tea station in the hallway. We passed through the Lorica on our way from Crotone to Pizzo and highly recommend spending a night here.

Negative: Early in the week during low season (late September) Lorica is very quiet with most restaurants closed and not much to do (boat cruises across the lake are offered though). We didnt mind at all and appreciated the quiet but encourage guests to ask around for any open restaurants/bars, eat on the way or bring food.
