Summary: We had the misfortune to stay on the most uncomfortable night during the recent heatwave. The hotel did not have any proper air conditioning - simply a plug in unit that was not adequate to comba t what were admittedly rare extremes of heat. Consequently we had very little sleep in the very comfortable bed. The breakfast was good but our lasting memory will surely be the hostess, who greeted us and looked after us throughout our stay - from helping to carry our luggage, caring for my friend with mobility issues, and generally being a perfect hostess. She is a credit to the establishment and deserves this recommendation.
