The Lac des Estives Holiday Village is located in the Parc des Volcans in Haute Auvergne, on the Cézallier plateau on the border between Cantal and Puy de Dôme. Its central position will allow you to easily visit the Auvergne, its lakes and its volcanoes.
It is an atypical environment that awaits you at the end of the road: the holiday village is in the middle of summer pastures at 1220 m altitude. You will be immersed in a setting close to the Scottish lands and Mongolia. The panorama is grandiose with the view of the massif of Sancy and the Monts du Cantal.
The cottage is located in a small holiday village on a property of 9ha. The three-hectare lake is full of rainbow trout, fario and fountain salmon caught only by the whipped fly. You can walk around the lake, fish crayfish in the river, go for a boat ride (only in the summer), build cabins in the forest.
The holiday park is equipped with a heated and covered 7x14m swimming pool (open from April 13th until November 4th), a petanque court, a games room (billiards, ping-pong table, baby- foot, wooden games), a cinema (1 session per week during the summer) a library, a toy library and Wifi access at the reception.
In winter, you can go tobogganing and snowshoeing from the holiday park (on site: snowshoes and toboggans available). Super Besse Ski Resort is 40 minutes away by car.
The Lake of the Estives can be also the center of your green holidays, the nature is splendid and preserved (Area Natura 2000), the walks and excursions are multiple (waterfall of the Saillant with 45 min on foot, Mont Chamaroux: 3h30 round-trip, GR30). The high plateaus of Cézallier offering complete darkness, this territory is conducive to the observation of stars.
The 15-seater cottage is ideal to meet up with family or friends, each room has a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. On the ground floor the cottage is composed of a living room with fully equipped kitchen (large gas stove with oven, 2 refrigerators, dishwasher, washing machine, ...), lounge, TV, dining room, bathroom.
On the 1st floor, 2 bedrooms of 4 with 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds, 1. On the 2nd floor, 1 bedroom of 3 with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, 1 bedroom of 4 with 1 double bed and 2 single beds (mattress, duvets and pillows provided). Terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.
