This property was originally two farmhouses nestled amongst barns and a courtyard. Since its recent renovation it now offers a spacious 3 room character and very comfortable house with courtyard garden. The internal fittings are new and modern coupled with many original restored character and charming features; original oak beams, orignal stone fireplaces, cheese niche and an orignal stone floor in the bedroom.
The courtyard garden is south west facing, exclusively for your use and offers an place to enjoy outdoor cooking, eating and relaxation. Private parking is in front of the house.
Kitchen and living room.
The kitchen is well equiped with a very good range of cooking untensils. Specialist pots and pans are available on request - just ask! Coffee machine with a starter supply of capsules. Also, a good supply of fresh herbs and fruit in season can be provided free of charge.
The living area is very comfortable and luminous. A central stone fireplace offers a cosy feeling when the wood stove is on. Door access to the courtyard.
The bedroom was house no2 and is now a charming spacious bedroom with en suite shower room. Door access to the courtyard.
The village of Creancey offers superb walks around the traditonal houses and it's habitable Chateau. Alternatively, there are many official walking routes in the nearby area. Why not try a walk or bike ride along the tow-path of the nearby Burgundy Canal. Cycling is a good option with the Velo Verte cycle route passing through the village.
Restaurants, shops and general commerce.
We are lucky to have good general commerce within a few minutes drive. The village has a supermarket with a bakery section. In the nearby town of Pouilly en Auxios (3 kms) you will find local shops, restaurants, bakers (3), medical services and access to the autoroute network. Visit the local Friday Market in Pouilly en Auxios to pick up some local produce and a glass of wine. Starts around 4pm 'til 8pm.
Things to do
Dijon is easily accessible by car as is the wine region around Beaune. Great choice of superb museums, restaurants, cafes and cultural events. Try to make a visit to the weekly markets in Dijon and Beaune.
Hire a bike and cycle on the velo verte route along the Burgundy Canal.
Nearby, there are many traditionalal and historical villages, most with Chateaux and interesting character buildings.
If you fancy a day out to Paris, you can travel by Hugh speed train from Dijon to Paris in 1h40 minutes. Leave at breakfast and have lunch in a Paris restaurant.

A nearby leisure lake (lac panthier) offers an opportunity of swimming and sailing. There us so a campsite restaurant overlooking the lake.
Prior to the renovation, the two houses were last lived in the 1970s and the 1950s.
