High place of resistance during the Second World War, nestled on the northern borders of the wooded foothills of the southern Burgundy massif, this charming typical and commercial town has many amenities (shops & services), a very good level of sports & leisure (including a vast arboretum park with conservatory orchard), a very rich historical heritage (two Romanesque churches, several 15th & 6th century chapels, beautiful traditional and preserved 18th century residences, several medieval castles, numerous washhouses & fountains , calvaries, moat of the old castle…) and enjoys a magnificent hilly surrounding countryside, a charming preserved setting between nature, viticulture & preserved agriculture (partly protected in Natura 2000 zones).
