Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The village is probbaly picturesque during summer and without major construction sites all over. The accomodation is probably very convenient if you are travelling with a batallion of small children. The direct garden access to the beach is probably a nice feature if the path is not obstructed by excavators.

Negative: The place did not meet our expectations and was a poor deception. The various construction sites (public and private) are certainly not the responsibility of the owners, but it would be fair to apply a major discount to the rental during this period. No understanding at all with regards to the fact that we had to park the car ouside the property (on the street and payable), despite a large cobbled inner courtyard. The appartment is cramped with second hand furnishings and fitments and crockery. The saloon is not inviting at all to sustain a rainy afternoon and the (smart) TV just works randomly. There are three tiny bedrooms with very narrow beds, so we decided to sleep apart (doesn't fortunately happen very often under normal conditions). The single bathroom is minimalistic and microscopic - on any yacht you would find more comfort. At the end we shortened our prepayed stay by one night and headed away to an alternative place. Compared to other places that we choose during our vacations in Normany, the "Les Graves" was a clear underperformer. Just to be fair: the owners offered a complimentary stay when we informed them (without providing the true reason) of our anticipated departure. This is a nice gesture, but we will most probably not come back to the proposal.
