This house is one of the oldest surviving in Tournus. Certain elements, in particular the window on the second floor, would date from the 14th century. The murals, located on the first floor, are homogeneous and constitute a rather rare example of painted decorations of an 18th century town house in Saône-et-Loire. The trompe l'oeil decor, of a rather naïve style, is made up of three horizontal registers, composed of landscape and architectural views presented inside scalloped frames.
