Summary: Despite the booking confirmation saying check-in was open until 1900, we arrived at 1615 only to find it shut until 1800 - duh - nearly every other hotel I've stayed in welcomes guests from 1500 at the earliest...to compound the problem, I received a text from the hotel the evening after we had left telling us what the check-in times were!
Nevertheless, we were pleased with the large room (17 - at the back - luckily away from the Saturday night live band on the beach opposite) with good facilities and a great shower big enough for 3, rather than the tiny coffin many hotels install.
Whilst we were hanging around until 1800, we had a look round for somewhere to eat, but came back to the hotel, which was a lucky decision since they were just about full. We sat next to a French couple who had had lunch there earlier and decided the food was so good to come back for dinner. Our food was great as was the wine - I can recommend the St. Martin rouge.
All in all a great stay despite a shaky start - would definitely stay there again.
