2 Bedroom House in Colmar
Our cottage is new (end of 2014). It is located in a very quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the historic center of Colmar. We have converted our barn at the bottom of the garden into a charming gîte. 'La Grange' has a wooden frame facade and is fully renovated to BBC (low consumption building) standards.
The gîte is located on the first floor and has a surface of 75 m2. It is fully autonomous and has all the comforts (TV, internet- Wifi -Radio, etc ...).
On the ground floor, there is a spacious airlock which will allow you to deposit your belongings, your jackets, etc ... A staircase gives you access to the first floor. The cottage is composed of 2 bedrooms ('Charlie and Camille') delicately decorated, a spacious living room of more than 30 m2 and a fully equipped open kitchen. The bathroom and WC are separate.
We provide our visitors with a closed garage space located on the ground floor of the gîte. Thus, you can easily leave the car safely in our property and move on foot to the historic center of Colmar in less than 15 minutes.
Our cottage is located in a very quiet area with all local shops (bakery, food restaurants, supermarkets, etc ...)
It can accommodate up to 4 people (two bedrooms).
You can easily discover and stroll through the alleys of Colmar, a true compilation of our region with its traditions, its Christmas markets, its internationally renowned museums (Unterlinden, Toy Museum, Bartholdi), its festivals (music, cinema). The city knows no downtime and is a real architectural gem.
If you prefer the great outdoors, the Vosges and the Black Forest will welcome you in under an hour's drive for beautiful hikes to the peaks and the many lakes.
Otherwise, the city of Strasbourg can be reached in an hour by car (or 30 minutes by train) and Mulhouse and its museums (Train, Automobile) in 30 minutes by motorway, access to which is very close to rental.
You can of course also discover the magnificent 'Route du Vin' and its countless Alsatian villages such as Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim (elected most beautiful village in France in 2013), Ribeauvillé, etc ...
We will be able to advise you and indicate the 'good addresses' in the region.
